Scottish Rite Take Flight

Take Flight is an Orton-Gillingham based multisensory instruction for students with dyslexia. Take Flight contains the five components of effective reading instruction supported by the National Reading Panel research meta-analysis and mandated by the No Child Left Behind Act: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency and reading comprehension.

Scottish Rite Pre-Flight

Pre-Flight is an introduction for young students to Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with DyslexiaPre-Flight is appropriate for children in grades K-2 who have difficulty distinguishing sounds (phonemic awareness), limited vocabulary or background knowledge, and who fail to employ strategies to reflect on the meaning of text.

 Scottish Rite Jet

Jet is an Orton-Gillingham based multisensory instruction for individuals fourteen and older with dyslexia.

  • Students will learn all 44 sounds of the English language, 96 letter – sound correspondence rules, and 87 affixes.

Scottish Rite Jet is the ideal program for students who continue to struggle after intervention or for people identified with dyslexia after middle school.

(NILD) Educational Therapy

NILD Educational Therapy differs from tutoring in that cognitive and perceptual weaknesses are strengthened to support independent learning. This approach is individualized and involves intense mediated learning.

These distinctives address learning challenges and raise expectations for cognitive and affective change, building confidence and competence for independent functioning.

(NILD) RX 4 Discovery Math – Grades 1-12

In this dynamic intervention, foundational math concepts will be strengthened while thinking and problem-solving skills will be challenged, all within an atmosphere where math anxiety is reduced. RX 4 Discovery Math will build and strengthen number sense, math fluency, math vocabulary, and problem-solving strategies.

Homeschool Pod

We administer a unique custom homeschool program specifically tailored to dyslexic and ADHD students. All three of our teachers are dyslexia specialists with diverse backgrounds in education to provide a well-rounded, Christ centered education. We serve children beginning in the fourth grade through early high school with a focus on remediating skills that are necessary to prosper in other educational settings in the future.

Summer Camps

Summer Camps

Each summer we host summer camps specifically designed for the most popular interests of our students. Although these camps are academic in nature, they are filled with hands-on activities, scientific experiments, field trips to historical monuments/locations and theatrical productions.  They will come home excitedly talking about their experience!  We host camps in Earth Science, Design Build Physics, Local History and Little Theater.
